About Me
I have been practicing Art Therapy since 2016, working with clients from age 6 to 90 years old. I have a variety of experiences, but mainly focus on grief and trauma. I prefer to work with adolescent and adult clients.
I enjoy creating alongside clients as they grow and heal. I strongly believe that clients have the answers to their own healing, and I am there to be a support. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR).
I graduated with my B.A. in Fine Art with a minor in Psychology from Ouachita Baptist University. Then I went on to complete my M.A. in Art Therapy and Counseling from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, NM. As an Art Therapist, I mostly use experiential methods in sessions, but I also use these theories and methods in my practice: Attachment Theory, Client Centered Theory, Family Systems, and Gestalt Theory. Authenticity is one of my strongest values, being true to myself with clients is important.
When I am not working, I enjoy being outside hiking and kayaking, exploring new places, and trying to keep my plants alive.
